The Dally, North London’s premier private members club, is set to open its doors in Islington in early spring 2024.
Co-founded by Caroline Baldwin and Claire Ilardi-Crow, The Dally is a unique, locally-focused establishment, housed in a charming three-storey period townhouse at 181 Upper Street, London N1.
Centrally located amidst the vibrant boutique shops of Upper Street, The Dally is designed to foster local community spirit through inclusive socialising and positive vibes. It’s the first in a series of planned neighbourhood clubs in and around London, each tailored to cater to the needs of its local residents.
Caroline Baldwin and Claire Ilardi-Crow, who have been friends for years, identified a need for a new kind of social space in Islington. They envision The Dally as a hub where different interests converge, offering the central London experience without the commute. The club enjoys the backing of industry veterans Matt Hobbs of Copper Beech and Jamie Caring, known for their contributions to famous names like Soho House and The Groucho Club.
The Dally is more than just a club; it’s a community-centric retreat where personality trumps profession, and members can relax, work, or enjoy a variety of dining and social experiences. The ground floor features The Living Room, a casual lounge and bar serving an all-day menu. The first floor houses a 30-seat restaurant offering modern European cuisine with a focus on sustainable and local ingredients. For events and private functions, there’s The Loft and The Cocktail Bar, along with an inviting outdoor terrace.
CEO Caroline Baldwin emphasizes The Dally’s commitment to being a welcoming, straight-talking space where members can enjoy the company of friends, find solitude, or engage in lively social interactions.
Claire Ilardi-Crow, CMO, adds that The Dally aims to be a place where diverse perspectives meet, fostering community engagement and ensuring members leave enriched by their experiences.
Membership to The Dally is priced at lb630 annually or lb66 monthly, with a one-time joining fee of lb250. Benefits include a diverse cultural calendar, from live music and comedy to workshops and wellness seminars. The club is also dog-friendly on the ground floor, reinforcing its commitment to being a welcoming space for the local community.
