Louis Vuitton has announced it will be opening its first ever restaurant next month, on the top floor of its four-level Osaka flagship.
Le Café V will open on 15th February with a menu designed by Japanese chef Yosuke Suga.
With the new development, Louis Vuitton will be following in the footsteps of other luxury fashion brands including Tiffany & Co., which has plans to open its first European Blue Box Café in Harrods, and Dior, which is renovating its flagship store in Paris to include a restaurant. LVMH, already revealed plans to open a second Lois Vuitton Café in Mayfair. It’s also thought that plans to open Luis Vuitton hotels may be in the pipeline.
LVMH CEO commented on the brand’s plans: “the future of luxury will not only be in luxury goods, as it’s been for many years, but also in luxury experiences, and we want to be in both segments.”
